Brown's Quality Lime supplies bulk ag lime and other agricultural products from our rural quarry east of Dannevirke, New Zealand.
We quarry, crush, dry and bulk store the lime ready for batch mixing with other externally purchased elemental products for sale direct to farmers, with the final product in bulk for on farm delivery and spreading.
We are the only lime quarry in the southern half of the north island that kiln dries our lime. The effect of this on the lime is, it makes the lime easier to crush to a finer particle size which, as is well known enables the finer particles to break down in the soil much quicker which in turn gives the farmer a much faster return on capital invested.
Our lime stone and quarry process provides customers with three products:
-
Ag Lime
-
SUPA FINE Lime
-
Race Lime
We are a rated Quarry which guarantees clients of the quality claimed on our products. Flowability of the products is guaranteed to flow freely from either aircraft or ground spread thereby enabling an even spread. Pilots who have sown our ag lime, have said that this lime is the best flowing product they spread. Part of the reason for this is in the processing of our products, as we dry the lime. This makes our products SAFE for the pilots and ground spreaders.

"From my own experience Browns Quality Lime is a top rated product and is a very safe Lime to sow.
The lime is put through a drier therefore you get more lime and less water in your tonnes. This all helps as a pilot when you have confidence in your product.."
